Variety’s 7th Annual Hitmakers Brunch gathered some of the music industry’s most influential artists, producers, and creatives to celebrate 2023’s biggest hits on December 2 at NYA Studios West in Hollywood. The star-studded event honored icons like SZA (Hitmaker of the Year), Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, and more. Hosted in a newly launched venue, the brunch blended powerful tributes and standout moments—like Ryan Gosling’s heartfelt and humorous speech for Mark Ronson—with an elevated, sophisticated design that reflected the event’s prestige.
I played a key role in bringing the liquid-metal-inspired design to life, ensuring a visually striking and seamless experience. The stage featured a gloss-black surface, beveled mirror frame, brushed steel face, and integrated LED elements that enhanced the atmosphere. This bold and meticulously executed design served as the perfect backdrop for a day that honored music’s biggest creators, setting the stage—literally—for an unforgettable industry moment.
